ASM EduCon 2017

Description: The 4th annual ASM EduCon, the ASM Educators’ Conference will be held on July 1st, preceding the Annual ASM Scientific Meeting. The conference will focus on student learning and aims to present a variety of topics for discussion including: Using assessments to improve student learning and teaching (Session 1); Cognitive Load Theory and the Cognitive Assistance Factor Evaluation (CAFÉ) tool (Session 2); The Science of Learning (Session 3) and Technologies in Teaching (Session 4).

Guest Presenters:

Dr Sue Merkel, Cornell University, USA. Chair of the American Society of Microbiology Undergraduate Education Committee.
Closing the Loop: Using assessments to improve teaching and learning.

Dr Raina Mason, Southern Cross University, Australia.

Poster Presentations at EduCon 2017: Want to present your teaching and learning research or teaching innovation at ASM EduCon. A poster session will be held as part of the program in 2017.
